Our Lenten Passion

Peace and blessings from Pakistan!!!

We have two traditions of lent: One is sharing Easter Packet and the second is Loan repayment program.

In Easter Package we share food, groceries, clothes and little money for the Christian families who are on the extreme poverty. This is a family package. Ach package is Pak. Rs 6500 (almost US. $ 85) per package per family

The Loan repayment program: is our initiative to pay back the loans or rather the advance money for their children who work as bounded servitudes. The average case repayment is Pak. Rs 35000 (almost US. $ 453)

It is our self supported program and this is the very first time I have asked my friends to see if they can share their passion and generosity.

If anyone is interested I can give the generosity transfer details.

May our God continue to bless you and your families with all the worldly and spiritual enrichments!!!

Hi Barb,

I wrote the previous comment (now deleted) when I came back from the mountains & was not quite grounded lol! After re-reading it, I have re-presented it to more reflect my intention. I thought I would put up a "signpost" to connect with others on a similar journey or to get directions ( bit like "Hitchikers Guide to the Universe LOl!) Thank you for your wisdom.


(28th March 09)Today I felt a yearning & was drawn up into the high country of the Southern Alps of New Zealand. I came to a beautiful valley with a river flowing through. Here I stopped & felt at one with the Universe - I looked in to the mirror of my life & knew I was ready for a new beginning. I mediated & asked for guidance on my life's path, I had a vision to be part of a community where beings come together to share their sprituality & live in harmony with the universal life force energies each & every day. The vision is of a self sustaining community that lives in harmony with Mother Earth. I know that there are such other communities around the world -Findhorn-Sedona etc. My vision is to live every moment of my life with spiritual purpose.My present reality no longer serves me & I choose to be in a reality that empowers me to be all that I am, sharing/being with other spiritually awakened beings.

I bow before my destiny & offer myself in service. I send my love & light out into the cosmos so that I may connect with others who are on such a journey. As humanity moves into the next evolution of conciousness, I believe it is important to create more model communities in the present that will help with the evolution for the future New Humanity. I would love to be a part of such a community.
