Alliance for a New Humanity

Hello all visitors!

We had the most amazing gathering this week for our Building Bridges to Peace ANH Group. In the gathering we talked about beginning a new "language. dialogue" for peace that can be expressed both verbally and creatively.
The new "language" was a wonderful suggestion from Wendy Mather in our group who has been doing work on this subject for quite a while.

So many responses to the thoughts of peace are ... but what can I do, it's such a huge undertaking, it never changes. The truth is it really isn't that difficult. We need to help each other with this change by rewording our dialogue. We need to rewire our thought process with a new language for transformation and Peace.

We'd really love to hear everyone's comments on the following questions. Feel free to answer as openly as your heart desires:

1) Peace - how do we define it?

a. What does it look like to you?
b. What does it feel like to you?
c. What does it taste like to you?
d. What does it sound like to you?
e. What does it smell like to you?
f. How do you intuit it?

2) How does peace work for you?

a. Internally?
b. From you to me?
c. From you to the world?

3) Describe the pearl at the center?

Thanks so much in advance for participating. There are no right or wrong answers, so there is no need to judge your answers just let them flow naturally from you. We will continue to collect this information from as many people as we can to help build the framework for our Experiential Expo on Peace and ONEness. And we'll share the information with you so you can perhaps build one in your community as well!!

In peace and light,
as ONE,

Dear Members,
David here; from Uganda, East Africa

Peace - how do we define it?

a. What does it look like to you?
Peace is state of freedom and liberty at work. When people have freedom to exercise their desires, dreams, vision and plans and any other social, economic and environmental welfare, we can see peace. In fact, the complete image of peace is absence of injustice and oppression.

b. What does it feel like to you?
I feel it as an instrument of joy, happiness and development. It is a gauge of humanity in development. It is suppresses fear and anguish in human development. It is the only proof that; where it prevails, the word “military” bears no scary meaning to the mass. And I believe; peace is what builds the world as home of human existence. It is the only social ingredient that man has “not” to ignore for better results in life on earth.

c. What does it taste like to you?
When people have the freedom of expression, worship and association without prejudice and intimidation; I say—peace is evident. In fact, peace is a God given right. It has no national, religious, tribal, racial or age affiliation. It is the vessel or element that flourishes the total meaning of citizenship and breeds patriotism.

d. What does it sound like to you?
Peace sounds like a universal icon that destines every nation on this planet.

e. What does it smell like to you?
It is a global social-aroma that appetites the fruits of unity, prosperity and cooperation. And it is a component of globalization that stimulates investment in any given country and bears an uncompromising indicator of regional cooperation.

f. How do you intuit it?
When every child of any given nation can access education, medical care, food and security; when all nationals have the ability to appreciate their life Vs the challenges; without demonstrations or riots of violence—then, my intuition of peace becomes positive; when women have equal rights like men; that is real peace at work. Consequently, peace may not be absolute by definition. I mean, when peace is culturally compared, different definitions may surface.

2) How does peace work for you?
a. Internally?
It is a measure of my internal being. It accumulates happiness and joy in my daily life. The compass of my vision and dreams to meet the goal.

b. From you to me?
It is an umbrella that shelters all souls of a common agenda. It unifies and reintegrates the mystery of diversity.

c. From you to the world?
It becomes an echo of our global quest for oneness and unity demoting the justifications of conflicts/war.

3) Describe the pearl at the center?
If I may have understood the question, the orbit at which peace is centered in 5 folds:
1. Political stability
2. Economic development
3. Social justice
4. Healthy and,
5. Education

David,

On behalf of all of us, we thank you for such an inspiring reply to the questions!! You are our first person to contribute to the voice of Peace. Can you ask the children in the village what they would answer? We have a teacher in our group and I will ask her to ask her students the same set of questions. Let's keep building on this powerful statement of Peace.

We will keep working together.

Love and light,
Cheryl
