My Desire -- to help align the world with a common beat.

I started 10 Billion Beats in January in the hope of sparking enough people's imagination with a positive vision that it would help relieve some of the pressure and divisions we see growing in our world. This group already understands the stresses of any spiritual transformation.

The idea is to use the simplest common denominator-a drum beat-so people across cultural, national and religious divides can infuse a collective intention of goodwill for the Earth and all its inhabitants without stumbling over our own dogma or the fears many have about the times ahead. The goal is to reach 800,000 people worldwide who will join in this common purpose.

The date for this event is Sept. 18 and at this point it doesn't appear we will have that many people but the numbers are between 100,000 and 200,000 by my estimate. Within this group are church groups and drum facilitators, shamanic circles and solitary souls from six continents. I am very gratified by the response.

I love your intention, thank you for posting about it again so we all get ready. My family will be drumming and very likely so will the friends I send this to. It is really the subtle vibration of our intention that is transforming the world, so the actual drumming will be just for fun, as is all material reality. Fun, beautiful and inspired. Why not ask those who want to take a pic of their drumming moment and send it to your website, so we can share the joy even visually? I have a feeling that your idea won't stop here :)

It has been wonderful to see the world respond. And, nobody ever said spiritual work couldn't be fun. I felt my heart shaking! It was absolutely beautiful. Our Source wrapped this with inspiration and blessing from the very start and finished it with two spectacular sunsets to start and finish the world drumming.
