The Alliance Needs Our Support!

the ANH needs our support! Here is the group mail I received from Deepak Chopra, the president of the Alliance:

Dear Aurora,

ANH continues to reach hundreds of thousands of people with the inspiring message of “Be the Change”, “Make a Difference”, and “Share your Passion”. We have “Be the Change” events taking place in over 100 countries. People are consistently signing-up to “TAKE THE VOW” of non violence - more than 19,000 thus far! With over 50,000 members, partnerships with Global Change Agents and 250 ANH Groups growing globally, we are well on our way to reaching a “critical mass”. However, to continue this great work, we need your participation.

Some highlights of the things we are working on :


ANH STARTFUND is a way for people like yourself to access funds to support your change making projects!
Our “Be The Change Program” and its events continue to reach the masses from Canada, The U.S.A, Ireland, Turkey, and India! Over 100 countries!
More than 19,000 people have taken the VOW of non violence and people are sharing the transformation seen in their daily life by doing so.
We have two Human Forums approaching Guatemala and San Diego!
In collaborative spirit we are partnering with many “Change Making Organizations” to create volunteer programs that will help millions connect with the greatest gift we can give or receive- service to each other!
ANH is NOT just another organization, we are an Alliance. We are a family of people who determined to see “change” happens ; through personal development, sharing passions and making a difference and sharing, the Alliance for a New Humanity is making a leap an evolutionary leap in the way organizations make “change” happen. We do not have one specific “cause”. We support good causes. We engage and support collaborative work between organizations.

There are many incredibly important organizations trying to feed children in Africa. So many organizations working towards ecological harmony, so many organizations working towards non violence, ever wonder why these organizations aren’t doing it together? Collective collaboration from individuals to organization is the process we must evolve to.

I am so very proud of the ripple like effect our work is creating. However, I am writing this letter to all of you with some great concerns. It has been become increasingly difficult to keep our “mission” financially afloat. Even with all of the great progress we are making, the global economic situation has left us with few benefactors that are consistent in their support. I am deeply grateful to them for their support, but I am concerned that if we as a collective group of change making individuals do not come together the future of ANH is in jeopardy.

I am asking for your help, your support and your commitment. “We are the people we have been waiting for”! I believe that if we pull together and “collectively” contribute, be it 1$ or 100$, we can continue to create the transformation we are all waiting for!

Dear Aurora,

I have sent a message to a few of my friends here to start a discussion with their intention on the World Healers Forum.
Perhaps others can do the same.

If we unite all those intentions into the Abundance Exchange intention we already have so many projects to start exchanging.

I have read about the idea of a Frontstore page, like Google has and PayPal has it too I believe.
Such a page makes it possible for every one to start his/her own e-business. Yet he/she will have to pay to Google and perhaps also to PayPal.

If we want to have such a Frontstore especially for the Abundance Exchange and connected to the Alliance for a New Humanity we will have to find a programmer amongst our own members who is able to program such a page.

In that way we can share profits with the Alliance and are not dependent on a third party like Google or PayPal.

I have the feeling that Carl may be able to help us out.

As far as giving a donation to the Alliance, as far as I am concerned, I do not use a credit card on the Internet and I would like to have other possibilities available.

Up till now there wasn't another possibility for me and so I did send it to different people by snail mail.
Up till now it did always arrive, but it is not one of the safest possibilities.
With the big fraude wih credit card numbers in the U.S. that has recently been published in our newspapers in Europe and with the message from all the banks to their customers, to be very careful, I doubt if many will be willing to use their credit card.

Well, hope the above is useful.

Dear Mieke, thank you for letting your friends know about this possibility to co-create. I too see how the Abundance Exchange platform will be able to serve so many people in fulfilling their desire. It is clear how healing such a platform will be.

Thank you for looking more into the possibilities, I too think Carl might want to help us with the software, as you probably know he has been moving house so we wanted to restart the discussions somewhere beginning September. Please go ahead if your inspiration and energy are flowing !

Dear Aurora,

I feel I am in a split about donating money online outside my country.

When I want to buy something online in my own country, many possibilities are given. You can either pay by preprinted giro credit slip, cash on delivery, online banking, or credit card. So it is up to the customer to decide. When I want to donate something in my country, people send me their account number and I can easily transfer the money through my bank online to their account.

When buying something online outside one's country it gets difficult and when you want to buy or donate something outside Euope it seems the only way to do this is by credit card or by cheques.

In Europe banks are now going to introduce a uniform online paying system as from November. This will make it easier in Europe to pay online.

You have given the link to donate to the Alliance. The only other way I can do it is by cheque, but my bank does not want to give them to me because of the IBAN/BIC system they use.

I have corresponded in the past with the Chopra Centre. But they just do not understand what I mean.
In the past I have sent plain Euros to the Alliance through snail mail (normal post mail). Guess that is the only way for me and then just hope it will arrive in good order.

Also I once won a price of 35 English Pounds with some software I created. They sent me a cheque for this. In the end I ended up with 15 Pounds and the rest went to the bank for the transferring costs.

I feel happy with one thing, it is up to me to decide. So when there are such few possibilities I just decide to wait till I have found the one that perfectly suits me.

Hence the intention :)

I've just started a discussion where we could gather ideas from various websites that already implement solutions which may have something in common with the G.E. project/platform.

E-commerce is not my strongest point, but I thought I could contribute with some websites we may learn something from.

I believe that others on this group, including you, might know, or find, other sites that we may learn various useful aspects from.

Yes I remember I saw you posting some links, have to go check it out again.

I know there are already great alternatives. Have you ever heard of the Website 'Second Life' ?

They created a whole 3D virtual reality world where you can choose an Avatar, get aquainted with the environment and after that you can start to build your own virtual house, get a job, try to trade and make a virtual living. They invented their own currency too. It has been a great success up till now and I read somewhere that nowadays it is even possible to exchange the virtual currency into real money.

I bet if I Google something about alternative currencies I will already receive lots of hits :)

And while Googling I encountered more than 30 million pages and the first alternative currency mentioned was the flier miles. And with flyer miles I also have already been able to donate. So perhaps this would be a good alternative for the Alliance for a New Humanity to adopt that alternative currency as a possibility for donations.

Flyer miles in my country are called Airmiles. In the past they were solely used in the form of a reduction on tickets for aeroplanes.

Nowadays they can be used for almost anything one can buy. And they are given in more and more shops, amongst others grocery shops where you buy and pay for your daily necessities. You just get them on your airmiles card for free. The more you spent the more you receive :)

And in my country they can also be used to give as a donation to a good cause.
