A humanity driven by love and not fear; conscious of everyone's life as part of the fabric of the whole, with no national, ethnic or religious boundaries and no private pockets of privilege. Governments move from less focus on control and more on facilitating human development and efficient and caring interaction of people in the workplace and in homes and between nations.
About Me:
Recently retired social work trainer (and former mechanical engineer). Married 41 years so far; two grown children. Helping care for a 96 y/o mother in law. Working in the Network of Spiritual Progressives for a more humane, caring and generous society. Long time student of "A Course in Miracles" and even longer (over 30 years) meditator. Still only too keenly aware of my "shadow"!!
My name is miss van-laban i saw your profile today i became interested in you i will also like to know you the more, and i want you to send a mail to my email address so i can give you my pictures for you to know whom i am. Strange as this sounds, there was a period of my life (early 70s through early 80s) where I actually received messages from an energy that labeled itself "Samuel." It said it was a direct "messenger" of the Universal Mind Power. I actually began to compile my own "Bible." Seth books opened up the connection in that it released many "fears" and caused me to realize that ego was a separate entity. In my opinion, "ego" is what many would call "the devil." I will email some of my observations to you.
I see you are a journalist and a teacher. What age people do you teach? Small children? Teens? Adults? Elder adults? In my second career (social worker), I spent my last three years before retirement teaching new State workers about how to perform child protection services. I should add that I was, in my "first career," a mechanical engineer.
In your first post, you wrote: "We all hope the new President of America, will be a sensible person about the problems of the poorest and the weakers (weakest).
I hope he will be, also, but we citizens in the United States must support him in those endeavors - he is not Superman, you know. A President has many pressures put onto him by interest groups, and so we who care for justice must support him and his programs for poor people, as well as dealing with the terrible economic crisis. Thank you for your note. "Pacem in Terris."
Welcome my new friend! We all hope the new President of America, will be a sensible person about the problems of the poorest and the weakers.
Esperamos que el nuevo presidente de Estados Unidos será sensible a los problemas de los más pobres y débiles.
Estaré meditando con amor, desde España por todo ello
I am familiar with "A course in miracles" in a general sort of way. I found it fascinating how a Jewish atheist Psychologist (Helen Schucman) could have the sort of experience as she described. Learning about it helped me to broaden my relatively narrow religious perspective.
I certainly agree with the idea that Governments (like parents and teachers) should be more concerned with, to quote your words: "facilitating human development and efficient and caring interaction of people in the workplace and in homes and between nations." We already have the technology and the resources to meet everyone's needs on this planet. What we lack is the will to distribute things more equitably. Empty consumerism has left a real vacuum (spiritual void) in society.
