What is your vision of a new humanity?

My personal and professional Philosophy position is a holistic one, which considers human being as a complex system related in a multidimensional fabric with the universe, the planet, nature and society as well. This world view implies active and deep ethic and humanistic values, which orientate my investigative and academic activities, and at the same time, provide guidance in order to develop a responsible participation as a citizen. One of the essential spiritual and ethic values is, definitively, Peace.

My academic background as anthropologist and psychologist allows me to keep an open mind and I strive to maintain a respectful attitude towards life. The deep and decisive meaning of this conviction is based in a realistic hope: under the adequate training, human beings are capable to develop their crucial skills in order to preserve our planet, to respect the natural life, and to build mature and real democracies. Fulfilling such ideals requires redesigning the concepts and the practical procedures of education, development and leadership, which must to be inspired in the best spiritual and humanistic values

About Me:

I am psychologist, writer and anthropologist. All my educational work has been based in the perspective of nonviolence, and is orientated by the goal of construction of personal, psychological, ecological and political peace, by means of creative and peaceful resolution of conflicts. My Master’s thesis develops two fundamental issues, one of which is dedicated to propose a particular process of construction of international peace, designated Planetarization. That proposal, (Planetización), is inspired by humanistic theory of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. At the same time, my master´s thesis is based in social psychology of Erich Fromm, who considers that the main ethical value is Love to Life (Biofilia), and believe in the critical personal and social alternative: The world One, that means a unique planet, and a unique humanity connected in nonviolent way. My personal effort in the mentioned thesis, consist in design a psycho-pedagogical system in order to develop a mature human consciousness, which is able to build up a nonviolent planetary society, in the context of loving relationships with the Nature and others: that is the basis of Education for Peace. As a writer I have created an extensive production in social sciences and literature, a vast conjunct of books: nine novels, several poetry manuscripts, scientific essays, dozens of articles and interviews, which constitute an important intellectual production: more than fifty books.

Foto de un árbol sabio, que me enseñó mucho sobre el sentido de la Vida y del Universo. Le dediqué un libro: Palabra de Árbol. Es un árbol solitario, gigantesco eucalipto ubicado en el monte Casitagua, cerca de la Mitad del Mundo, y representa la fuerza de la madre Vida, que brota hasta en los desiertos, grande, hermosa, total.

Gracias por tu comentario tan enriquecedor. Los arquetipos siempre presentarán esos anhelos, deseos, sueños, intenciones que probablemente hemos detenido por seguir cargando pre-acondicionamientos y un ego protector que no deja que realmente seamos. En nuestras sociedades latinas en donde sigue prevaleciendo la psique de conquistado, conquistador no hay nada como ver que: los límites meramente son aparentes. Por ello, es importante que los arquetipos permanezcan. No sabes los cambios tan maravillosos que he atestiguado, cuando saben que ya los son tan sólo es un camino de ir reconociéndolo poco a poco. Sería fabuloso a medida que vamos caminando hacer la comparación con tus conocimientos del Panteón andino.
